Types of Therapy
-
Depending on specific needs, therapists may offer specialized approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), mindfulness-based therapies, trauma-focused therapy, and more. These evidence-based techniques are tailored to address conditions like anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, emotion dysregulation, and other mental health concerns.
-
This one-on-one approach involves confidential sessions with a licensed therapist. It focuses on addressing personal challenges, improving emotional well-being, and developing effective coping strategies.
-
If you’re struggling managing your neurodiverse child, teen or young adult, parenting support can help you be more effective in managing challenging behaviors and improve your parent-child relationship.
Specialized interventions include Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Parent Management Training (PMT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), as well as DBT applications for parenting.
-
Family dynamics can significantly impact individual well-being. Family therapy sessions aim to improve communication, resolve conflicts, and strengthen relationships among family members to promote overall harmony and support.
-
In a supportive group setting facilitated by a therapist, group therapy offers individuals the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges. It provides a space for sharing experiences, gaining perspectives, and practicing interpersonal skills.
Groups offered include DBT skills groups, exposure groups for a variety of anxiety presentations, as well as parenting-support groups such as SPACE.
If groups are currently not running, the Evoke team may recommend individual skills training.
